Dani Liblang's first lemon was her own - a pathetic 1975 Pontiac Astre! "It was so bad," Dani recalls, "...that lemon quickly racked up no less than 29 AAA road service calls which generated an infurating letter from AAA advising me that road service was not a substitute for proper maintenance."
Her own lemon experience was the straw that broke the camel's back. Yet still, surrounded by lawyers as she was - her father, uncle, brother and an entire law school she could find no one to bring the battle to the forefront. "I vowed then and there that when I became a practing attorney I would work to save unassuming consumers from the indignity and frustration I had been forced to endure," she recalls.
The lemon law practice grew with such fervor that Liblang & Associates is widely recognized throughout the Michigan international automotive world and legal community as the last word and the Train the Trainer in lemon law. A notoriety and well-deserved reputation to which Dani will only muse, "Isn't imitation the sincerest form of flattery?"
Ms. Liblang's management style and methodology at Liblang & Associates, while not completely unique, is decidedly different and atypical from that of a pedestrian law firm. Initially, the decision to practice a particular discipline of the law is a conscious decision that is reflected in the recruited personnel from client services administrators to legal assistants and paralegals through the attorney ranks.
With the early publication of the now often imitated Lemon Law 101 (insert c. +year & it needs an update & link) the firm quickly became a viable and respected resource for consumer education and awareness, legal peers and the working press.
In fact, among her innumerable media appearances Ms. Liblang is believed to be the only lemon law attorney to broadcast live from the floor of a major international automobile trade show exposition (Radio WXYT 1270 AM, Rick Bloom's "Your Money," Live interview from North American International Auto Show Detroit, MI on Lemon Law (January 1997) audio link). Additionally, Ms. Liblang has attended the prestigious Nikon School of Photography and regularly represents major news wire services as a photojournalist abd has produced extensive photo essays from around the world including Russia, the Middle East and Europe. Among Ms. Liblang's continued and numerous board memberships, committee posts and chairs she is certified in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA). (complete resume)
